Tropical Cyclone Research and Review (TCRR) is an international journal focusing on tropical cyclone monitoring, forecasting and research, as well as associated hydrological effects and disaster risk reduction. This journal is edited and published by the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee (TC), the Shanghai Typhoon Institute of the China Meteorology Administration (STI/CMA), and the Asia-Pacific Typhoon Collaborative Research Center (AP-TCRC). Contributions from all tropical cyclone basins are welcome.

Scope of TCRR Journal

Research articles – manuscripts reporting on new, cutting-edge scientific findings on various aspects of tropical cyclones (TCs) across different spatial and temporal scales, ranging from the microscale to climate scale.
Review – manuscripts providing a review of a certain aspect of TCs. This can either be initiated by the editorial board or proposed by the author.
Case studies of individual TCs, which can include forecast difficulties, severe damages caused, unusual tracks, intensity or size change, etc.
Development of new techniques for tropical cyclone monitoring and forecasting, including advances in observational instrumentation (ground-based, airborne, satellite, and autonomous systems), forecasting methods, model development, and the application of AI technology.
Verification and evaluation of tropical cyclone seasonal and long-term forecast.
Annual report of tropical cyclone activities for the Western North Pacific.
